Suddenly missing you already//
Tonight, I’m missing LA already. I came back to SoCal earlier this year absolutely dreading everything about its disgusting SoCal-ness. But somehow, I’ve adapted to the quiet calmness of this city & almost crave it. Unexpectedly, despite what I’ve insisted, I’ve fallen in *like* & might actually miss this city as much I’ve claimed to have missed the other.

connections asked: Big Me, your positivity and really, just everything about you, is absolutely inspiring :D Just had to say. Hope you're doing well!

Drama Queenz & Drag Queenz
Appropriate. Been trying to refrain from being a little drama queen lately. As Jordan Sparks quotes, “One step at a time…” For those of you who don’t know this wise woman, she is the winner of the 6th season of American Idol.
On a lighter note, this video should be renamed from “Shit Drag Queens Say” to “Shit Main Stacks Say”— we should...

The Dalai Lama’s 18 Rules For Living
Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

G'bye Yay Area
This week has truly been a compilation of all things great. Sometime in between all the hustle and bustle of trying to grow up so fast, I forgot to stop, take a breath and enjoy my friends. Of course, it’s always only at the end, when she’s leaving, he’s leaving, that we finally stop for a minute and try to grasp at these last moments of togetherness. But regardless, it feels...

love, lovin', loving you
I was looking through my old drafts and came upon this entry on love that I never posted. I think I wrote this over the summer but couldn’t bring myself to publish. Here it is:
My computer does weird things and it randomly opened up my MS notes that I had to write to the entire team for banquet. I skimmed over it all and stopped at my note to Jasen. I quote: “Last words of advice?...
My sassy mother (VIA text)
Denise: Hey mom, just making sure the wind didn't blow you away. how's the pond?
Mom: It'll take a twister to do that.

In Light of Thanksgiving...
A list of the many privileges and blessings I am thankful for—
a mom who nags because she cares
a dad who seems to have an endless stream of advice… even when he’s talking in circles
a brat of a brother, but also babysitter, personal chef, and stand-in parent
jenny lin, the best friend & closet weirdo a girl can ever ask for
a sweeet adorable boyfriend who never seems...

Check out my BIG OLE MOLAR
My dentist says it’s a healthy one. It’s huuuuge. Anyway, is it weird of me to want to put it on a ring or make it into a dangly earring?

Prelude Norcal 2011
I submitted this as a blog entry to 8asians for Prelude… but regardless of whether or not they post this as a guest blog, I do want to publish it here.
My decision to take on the role of Company Manager for Prelude Norcal Hip Hop Dance Competition, hosted by Main Stacks dance team in Berkeley, CA, came at a time of great confusion. While all of my peers around me were focusing all their...
Rap Industry Fan Fiction: Jay-Z Worships Satan →
LOL this is too good NOT to reblog.
rapindustryfanfiction:
Jay-Z ran his finger across the black marble top of the sacrificial altar. He looked at his finger carefully, checking for dust. Despite its lack of use, the altar was still perfectly clean. It was important that the altar always look perfect— not just to show his devotion to Satan, but…
That Green Effing Grass
This seems to be the theme of my life. If I’ve learned anything from these past 6 months upon graduating, it’s that after college, the world is opened up. There’s no longer the set path that seemed so clear when you’re going through school. Everyone is doing their own thing and it’s possible to succeed in so many ways. And sometimes, it seems like everyone around...
There’s something about the quietness of 7am. The crispness in the air, the slow breathing of my sleeping roommates, the fact that there’s no one surrounding me at starbucks. It’s less busy, less rowdy, and leesss nooiiisssee— just me, my coffee, and my thoughts. It’s nice.
I leave my freak out sessions for 4PM. It’s too early for an anxiety attack.
Confession: My Boyfriend and I Have Crushes on... →
kdgzz:
I wrote this 2 years ago when I was interning for the sex blog, Em & Lo.
I stopped writing about sex because I was tired of receiving hate letters and angry comments, accusing me of trying to be “edgy” and “controversial” when I was really just writing in my own voice, as honestly as I usually talk in person. The comment section of this particular blog serves as a fairly accurate...
